Dear Dr. C:I have a question about the use of finasteride in men. The FDA approved it as a medicine for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. What is the evidence to support its use in this condition? I have read that finasteride has been shown to increase the size of the prostate and the prostate-bladder-sparing effect, but I am not sure how to check for this effect in my case.

My prostate is enlarged and the size of the prostate is increased. I am a 45 year old male with mild prostatic enlargement. I am prescribed finasteride 1mg a day for 6 months. The doctor recommended finasteride 1mg twice daily to take for a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test. The prostate has been enlarged and my PSA has been elevated (PSA level of 5.2). I am taking finasteride for the past 5 years to treat the enlarged prostate and the prostatectomy. The doctor told me to use finasteride 1mg daily for 6 months, and then the prostate should be completely removed. However, my PSA is still elevated, so I am unsure if it is the use of finasteride that is causing the enlargement of the prostate. My question is, how can I know if the prostate is enlarged or not?I have a very similar problem, I am 40 years old. I have had prostatectomy, and it is caused by shrinkage of the prostate gland. I am using finasteride 1mg daily for 5 years to relieve the symptoms of prostate cancer, and the symptoms of the prostatectomy and prostatectomy are the same as the benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It does not matter if I am a man or woman. I can take it for as long as I want to because of the shrinkage of the prostate gland. The doctor recommended that I use finasteride 1mg daily, but I don't know how to do that. I am trying to make my prostate feel stronger and more natural, but am scared about the results. What about my PSA? What do I need to do to control the prostate to make it stronger?I have been told to try finasteride for a few months to see if it can help reduce the symptoms of BPH. The doctor told me that I would have to have a prostate biopsy and a prostatectomy because the size of the prostate will be increased. I am wondering if this is a good idea for a PSA test? The PSA level may be normal or the PSA level may be elevated. The doctor advised that I take a PSA test every other day, and it should not be changed. I have been told that PSA levels may be normal or elevated if I do a PSA test every day. However, I have not experienced any side effects from taking finasteride.I have noticed some side effects of finasteride. I am currently taking finasteride 1 mg daily for 6 months. The PSA level may be normal or elevated, but I do not think that it is the PSA level that is causing the prostate shrinkage. I would like to hear how you feel. Do you have any further questions?I am a 65 year old male, a little older than I am. I am taking finasteride 1mg daily, and I do not know if it would affect my PSA level or not. I am also on a low dose of finasteride for prostate cancer. I also have BPH and BPH symptoms, so I am wondering if I am over doing finasteride.I am taking finasteride to reduce the symptoms of prostate cancer and to treat the enlarged prostate.

BPH is a common condition that affects many men. It is characterized by an enlarged prostate, frequent need to urinate, and difficulty in urinating at all. Symptoms include frequent urination, difficulty in urination, and a need to empty the bladder frequently. BPH is usually treated with alpha-blockers, such as doxazosin, prazosin, or tamsulosin, to reduce the symptoms and improve urination. BPH is usually treated with an alpha-blocker to reduce the risk of sudden severe kidney failure. The most common side effects of finasteride include decreased sex drive, inability to have an orgasm, decreased interest in sex, and a decrease in semen volume. Some men may also experience changes in hair growth or prostate size, especially if they have regular exercise and are starting a healthy diet. Finasteride may increase the risk of developing benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate. This risk is increased if finasteride is taken with other medications that can increase DHT levels in the body, such as alfuzosin, tamsulosin, or prazosin. It is not known if finasteride can cause side effects. If you are experiencing a mental or emotional problem, consider talking to a healthcare professional before you take finasteride. They can help you find the treatment that will be best for you.
